ENHYPEN was formed through the reality survival show I-LAND in 2020, a joint project by CJ ENM and Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation). From a pool of 23 trainees, seven members—Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki—were selected to form the group1. They debuted on November 30, 2020, with their extended play (EP) Border: Day One.
